Pretty much the main reason I have slacked on this whole blog thing is because this little picture right here. You know no biggie just made a lifetime commit to another person nothing special or anything : ) But yeah planning your own wedding while working a full-time job and a part-time job on the side to help pay for your own wedding kind of takes a toll on you. I basically had no time to blog and when I did I wasn't inspired because I was so stressed and there was no way I was going to complain all the time to you guys. So, yeah I'm back at blogging slowly but surely. I'm going to take this blog in a new direction less fashion more lifestyle. There will still be a lot of fashion posts because I love all the aspects fashion but I've been interested in a lot more things lately that you guys will soon see.

New TV Show Line Up !

Since the passing of the hilarious no-filter comedian Joan Rivers back in September fans of the 

Fashion Police have been wondering who can possibly replace Joan Rivers commentary. The new

season of Fashion Police begins on January 12 (my birthday) the day after the Golden Globes with

fashion experts Kathy Griffin and Brad Goreski. I will say I'm happy about this because if anyone

can compete with the late Joan Rivers commentary its Kathy Griffin. Plus Brad is too cute and too

funny as well. Can't wait to watch these four !

Younger is a new show on TV Land coming this March I am very excited about. It stars Hilary Duff 

as Kelsey (Lizzie Mcguire, I LOVED that show), Sutton Foster as Liza and Debi Mazar as Maggie. 

The show is about Liza a 40-year-old suddenly single mother who tries to get back into the working

wold but finds it impossible to start at the bottom at her age.While out for a drink a 20-year-old guy mistakes her for being younger and this inspires her to pose as a 26-year-old to get the job she wants with a makeover from her bestfriend Maggie. With the makeover and new found young confidence she lands a job with co-worker Kelsey to the career of her dreams.

What excites me more about this show is that directed and produced by Darren Star who directed 

Sex and the City and LOVED that show. Also, Patricia Fields who worked with Darren Star on 

Sex and the City as the costume designer will be the costume consultant on this show.

Hindsight already started yesterday and I missed it because I'm kind of binge watching Sons of Anarchy because I may or may not be addicted to Jax. Anyways, this show is also about getting

a second chance at life. The show begins with Becca (Laura Ramsey) on the eve of her second

wedding where she still has doubts about it. She can't help but keep thinking about changing 

things in her life and making different decisions. So she keeps thinking about her former 

best friend Lolly (Sarah Goldberg) who she had a falling out with and would like to talk to.

All of a sudden she finds herself back in 1995 in New York City the morning of her first 

wedding and she begins reliving her life again in the 90's while re-adapting. I don't know 

about you but I want to see some needs chic grunge fashion. Dr Martens anyone?

I was just browsing through my usual gossip sites this morning and stumbled upon this eye 

catching image. I've been following all week the news about what is going on between Israel

and Palestine since I found out the extensive amount of civilian death toll. What is going on

is truly sad in my opinion but I'm not going to get into it so much because everyone is entitled

to have their own opinion about the situation. I just think this war should stop because it's

getting uglier and uglier each day and the people dying are the innocent ones. I really do not

know which side is right or wrong I just think they should come to peace and figure 

something out without loss of innocent lives.

A Little Inspiration . . .

You know how we all drag ourselves out of bed every Monday morning like "Ugh!".

Maybe if we didn't wake up like that and try to keep positive maybe the rest of the 

week will go by smoother. I know its hard but with a little effort we can think of 

whatever we are looking forward to this week and it may give us that extra push 

we need to keep a smile on our faces. 

Anyways, without getting too "philosophical" on you guys just try to be positive or

at least don't be such a debbie downer about everything and maybe just maybe

you'll attract more positive vibes.

2014 - Create Your Amazing Destiny !

Today is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Make it not just a good one but an amazing one.

I've already decided 2014 will be my year. I know we all say this on New Years but I am committed

to make this my year. My faith in god and everything is bigger and stronger now. I don't consider

myself religious, I consider myself spiritual in the sense that I believe in staying positive and letting 

go.And most importantly I believe in not judging others and believing in the impossible because everything is possible if we keep positive.

I am making my own list of things I want to improve on in 2014 but this was a fun simple one I

stumbled upon on Pinterest I felt we all can kind of relate to. Every year I make list of goals for

myself and I may not accomplish everything but when I look at the year that passed I see the 

difference in myself and feel better because I did accomplish certain things. And all this does is 

give me more confidence that I can accomplish even more the next year. So sit down and right

your list of goals.

I just got engaged to my best friend, I have a great job and successful career ahead of me, a caring family, a close-knit group of amazing friends, my good health, a home to go to every day, a bright

future ahead, my very own first apartment to decorate, a wedding to plan and my faith in god will

keep growing everyday letting my know a shift is coming and 2014 will be AWESOME !

This is the beginning of forever to me and I wish all of you a very Happy New Year !!!

Enough said ! You can dream all you want about accomplishing things but unless you get

out of bed and make things happen they're aren't going to magically occur. With hard work

comes a large payoff. It may take time but think of this way, this is something I have always

Life Lately - I Said YES !

So this happened last week and I'm still not over it. I'm engaged ! After 7 years of dating he finally got the courage to pop the question, either that or I just annoyed him to the point of no return. Either way we're both happy and can't stop from calling each other fiancé, it's annoyingly adorable.

How did he do it you ask? Well see Jason is very how do we say hard headed and complicated in other words he's a man. I don't mean to men-bash but you will know why I say this in just a second. For the last year we've been talking about marriage and you know the future and what not. This whole time I thought we were on the same page. A week before he proposed I just asked him is there something holding you back because we seem so happy and both seem to want this but we were at a standstill. So I ask just asked is it the money or are you not ready. Guess what he said! "I'm not ready." Yup, he went there and I felt like a deflated balloon animal. My feelings and dream of a wedding in the nearby future went down the drain. For a week I gave him the attitude from hell. Oh don't sit there and act like you wouldn't have done that too! I mean come on the man I'm love with and have been talking about a specific future for the last year all of a sudden has cold feet. Crazy things were running through my head like its been seven years, how in seven years can he still have doubts?!

Anyways, turns out he had been planning this for months but didn't know what else to say to keep me from asking. Word of advice gentlemen DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT tell your long time girlfriend who you have clearly been talking about marriage with all of sudden say your not ready. Because not a lot of us have to the strength to stick around until you make up your mind, just sayin'.

On Monday 12/9/2013 we spent the day hanging out eating, watching tv, playing with the dogs a perfect day in my book. So, were just sitting down talking and he says are you still mad at me. And I say I'm not mad because honestly I was disappointed but I knew in my heart he would come around, well at least that's what I kept telling myself to keep sane. He says I have something to confess. As soon as I heard that started having heart palpitations like oh sh#$! He gets down on one very shaky knee, I kid you not I thought he was going to fall over at any moment. And he says "I lied I do want to marry you". I literally stared at the ring for a good two minutes before realizing like holy sh#$! he just proposed. After five minutes of us going back and forth not believing this was really happening we hug and kiss and he says "You see were not on the same page I'm chapters ahead of you". Awww queue the happy ugly tears.

I always knew this guy would propose like this. Make me question my sanity and why I'm with him to then give me the sweetest surprise ever so typical of him. That's my life lately and I'm so excited to be moving soon, starting a new chapter and bringing Wedding Wednesday's to the blog. Yes, finally I can blog about weddings without feeling all weird and stuff. Oh and I unblocked my pinterest wedding board, now everyone can see all I've been fantasizing for the past year that is now slowly going to come true : )

Life, Lately . . .

I was gone from the blogger-sphere last week due to traveling for work. Doesn't mean I didn't get to

be up-to-date on all your lovely blogs. I just have to sign in to blogger everyday to have some daily 

fashion inspiration. Anyways, I was in California last week on an appoint for a client I must say I 

really love. I got great feedback and can't wait to develop jewelry, hair accessories and technology 

accessories for them. I must say you California people have some Ah-Mazing weather, I'm so jealous.

I wish I could wake up and just through a sweater on and by the end of the day I could go without it.

act out. But I couldn't agree with this quote more. Once you take that step of courage and

do what makes you happy without caring what others say you finally become yourself.

And you're finally able to be happy with a sense of complete freedom.

Mr. Cunningham could not have said it any better. Fashion to me is not just some way for people to see how

much money I have and what brands I wear, but to see my personality. The reason we love fashion so much 

is because it gives us an escape in a way. It's something we can always control and alter. One day we want 

to be grunge the next day we may want to wear pink. That's the point of fashion to express yourself. It let's

you tell the world how you feel without saying a word.

Things That Made Me Smile: My Brother's Wedding

Paradise I miss you !

Not! but they will try or I'll kick my brother's butt.

A little over a month ago my other brother got married in the our beautiful home country of Dominican Republic. It was at a gorgeous all inclusive resort in Punta Cana (basically like saying you went to the Hamptons in New York). I mean there was unlimited fruity girly cocktails and all you can eat restaurants everywhere, what more could a girl ask for. It was fun, amazing and incredibly hot. I mean I think I lost a pound a day sweating  but I clearly made up for it at the all you can eat buffet.

We all seriously have to do this sometimes and not stress so much. Things can be worse but they can be better if you're grateful for the good things you do have in life.

I can't believe its been a year since I've graduated college. I remember how excited I was and ready to enter the so called "real world". To be honest with you I thought I would have accomplished a lot more by now, but that's one of the major lessons I've learned about the "real world" not everything goes according to plan. But anyways, I know I'll get everything I want eventually no complaining here, just a tad bit impatient maybe more than a tad bit impatient. I never thought a quarter-life-crisis was possible but let me tell you it is real. Its that awkward stage in your 20's where you can't help but wonder: What I am I going to do with my life? Is this it? When do I get my big break? Why can't I have my dream job and corner office already? Will I ever get married? I thought I'd be settled by now.Well, lets be positive at least I got school out of the way now I just gotta work on making my dreams happen faster and right.

A Little Inspiration . . .

Next time you find yourself complaining about your life or about how you wish your life was, think about that little quote above. "We are what we repeatedly do". If you waste your time complaining or feeling sorry about yourself that's all your going to be doing because you're not thinking about ways to change it. Nobody can solve any problem for you, you have to do it yourself. Yes, sometimes life sucks and we go through sucky (I know that's not a word but I just made it one) situations but you know what you deal with it move on and think about how much better life will be afterwards. I definitely have fallen victim to being a debbie downer but I catch myself and just try to think of the positive even though that is hard to do sometimes.

A Little Inspiration . . .

It has been a week since that horrible event  at the Boston Marathon. Its been a stressful, devastating, heroic, and full of anxiety type of week. It truly does suck that events like these is what bring people together, but nonetheless we are together in this. All we can do is hope and pray that these type of things stop. I know there is not such thing as a perfect world but we can hope or at least be more cautious of our surroundings and those around us. We can hope to detect malice before it happens but without becoming maliciously judgmental ourselves.

Over the summer I had posted about my little man Rhys here, my little red head, my meatball, my nephew, my godson and his heart condition and how he overcame it. But now his wonderful father, my brother-in-law, has written this beautiful illustrated book telling his and my sister's journey with this little bundle of joy. I must say my sister is one lucky lady with this guy. This was a perfect gift for their family and I can't wait to get my copy in the mail already.

Watch: Revenge is my show! Well if Scandal isn't on because that show is crazy good too. If you like television series about lies, secrets, love and of course revenge this is the show to watch. Every episode will have you like "oh no she didn't!" and she is the evil queen Victoria.

Listen: Miguel's sultry sexy voice has been going on none stop on my itunes this week since I downloaded it. Kaleidoscope Dream is one of the few albums lately that I can actually listen to all the song on and not want to switch to the next. Miguel to me is like Robin Thicke, Usher, and Justin Timberlake wrapped into one.

Do: I miss my school The Fashion Institute of Technology a.k.a FIT and I want to go see their new museum exhibit called Shoe Porn. Can't wait to see this 150 piece collection of out of this world shoes.

A Little Inspiration . . .

While in school I always thought I knew exactly what type of career I wanted but now being in the quote on quote real world you realize things change. I wanted that top job that everyone would be like wow that's your job, you know the predictable one. I believe this saying so much now after getting a job I never thought I would want or like and now absolutely loving it. I got my current job while in college through a friends recommendation. I hated the job at first because it was your typical bottom of the ladder job, but I loved the people I worked with. So, I figured if only I could also love what I did. I took notes, asked a lot of questions and eventually became interested in sales. When I graduated I knew I wanted to do something creative in the product development field. Never would I have thought I'd be doing sales, someone who hates to socialize if she doesn't have too. But I love it so far, I get to work with awesome people and create jewelry and accessories for their specific customers. I knew my job had potential so I stopped being negative, worked my way up and created my perfect job : )
