Things That Made Me Smile: My Brother's Wedding

Paradise I miss you !

Don't let the beautiful image fool you, we were sweating bullets literally.

A little over a month ago my other brother got married in the our beautiful home country of Dominican Republic. It was at a gorgeous all inclusive resort in Punta Cana (basically like saying you went to the Hamptons in New York). I mean there was unlimited fruity girly cocktails and all you can eat restaurants everywhere, what more could a girl ask for. It was fun, amazing and incredibly hot. I mean I think I lost a pound a day sweating  but I clearly made up for it at the all you can eat buffet.

Things That Made Me Smile: Miami & Weddings

Thought I'd share with you guys somethings happening in my life lately. As you know from my previous post I was in Miami for work and enjoyed some fun in the sun. I ate so much while over there but burned it all off with by just walking in that heat. You guys should definitely try Sushi Samba, its amazing. Its like my new favorite restaurant right now. Sushi Samba is a mix of Brazilian, Japanese, and Peruvian food. And I am now officially obsessed with Peruvian coconut rice.

While in Miami I was missing my baby Kobe, that little cute-looking teddy bear you see up there, like crazy ! And a couple of weeks ago I celebrated my 7th anniversary with my lovely boyfriend : ) But what I'm really excited for is my brother's wedding in just two weeks. How cute are their custom-made Yankee jersey's with their wedding date?! Don't get me wrong I'm excited he's getting married and all but mostly its because the wedding will be in the beautiful Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Yup, my homeland and I'm excited to have fun and celebrate with family and friends.

The Little Chunky Guy That Made Me Smile

Well, there was really one main thing that made me extremely happy this week. You see that chunky little guy up there with the bald head his name is Rhys (pronounced Reese) Avery Serrano born August 15, 2012. See this little angel surprised us all because doctors were saying he would need surgery after birth due to his little heart condition. But after a week in the hospital with treatment his heart got all better and he was able to go home to his big brother and big sister. I'm so thankful this little chunk ball got all better by himself not only because he is my god son, but because I couldn't stand hearing the strain in my sister's voice. She has got to be the most positive person I know, but Rhys's birth really got to her. Now, I'm so happy she's happy and her whole little family is happy. I can't wait to see little Rhys and his sore-losing big brother and loud mouth big sister on labor day weekend.

Things That Made Me Smile This Week

1. My little brother graduated High School, now I really feel old. To think he's now free to do whatever he
wants, if you knew his this would be a scary thought for you too. But anyways I'm proud of him.
2. My new Diane von Furstenberg dress I got at the annual sample sale. Its in one of my favorite color
schemes: lime green and gray. And it is so comfortable.
3. My new leopard Steve Madden loafers that mentioned in the Expensive vs. Cheap post.
4. And of course the one thing that always makes me smile Kobe : )
