They're back and fancier than ever. I remember my mom had a pair of these back in the day

and they were the most comfortable shoes ever. They may not be the best looking but if you're

into the utilitarian look and comfort these definitely work for you. Now, that these are finally

growing on me of course I like the floral printed Givenchy ones a.k.a the most expensive.

Yes, unfortunately I referenced the Jersey Shore in this post title please don't think lowly of me 

but that show was entertaining at some points. Don't act like you didn't watch at least one episode

 even though you felt like you lost some brain cells during that hour.

to dress comfortable and you can't get anymore comfy then in a sweatshirt. I just love that 

designers and retailers are now making them more fun to wear. Have a fancy date? You could 

easily wear the Baily 44 lace sleeve sweatshirt with a body conscious pencil skirt. And Viola !

Last year it was the cargo jacket with the leather sleeves and this year it's the moto jacket. We
all need that go-to jacket right before the winter kicks in that we can layer on top of anything.
I've been eyeing a few moto jackets myself and am determined to get one of these babies
above. And isn't great that they are all under $100 and they don't look inexpensive.

skirts in fun prints and you're good to go. I'm not a big skirt fan but for some reason I have a 

thing for midi skirts. Maybe its the whole "classy" aura they have going for them. Plus, they 

remind me of the lovely Audrey Hepburn running around in Paris while filming Funny Face.

Loving Dresses with Sneakers

The little tomboy in me is so happy with this on-going trend. To get me in a dress is a difficult task in its self and to get me out of sneakers thats another battle of its own. But I guess since I'm technically an adult now I gotta stop dressing like I'm still in high school. So, I simply love this trend as a compromise. I can wear dresses and still feel comfortable because I get to wear my sneakers. One day I may actually set foot outside my house with a dress and heels on without having to go to a special occasion, oh my ! If you knew me personally, you'd want to take a picture because it may not happen again.

Summer is approaching and shorts and skirts are getting shorter. As my lovely friend Alicia from Its Lattes & Lace would say its booty-cutter time! You know when your shorts are so short you see a little glimpse of the butt cheek. Not that I will be wearing those but hey if you've been doing squats all winter long and can't wait to show off that firm butt by all means go ahead. 

What I love about summer is the simple act of dressing up. There's no need to layer and worry about it being chilly outside. You know whatever you dress in will suffice. It doesn't get any easier then rompers. Pick a cute color and a flattering silhouette and you're good to go. No need to worry about if your shirt goes with a certain short or skirt. Just throw it on, put some sandals on, and run a comb through that hair.

Little black dresses are a must have staple overall but for this upcoming season according to the Spring/Summer 2013 runway shows the Black & White trend is the way to go. Which I'm kind of loving because you still get that sense of classiness with the black but the white adds edge and modernizes the LBD staple. 

Trend Watch: Aztec Comfort

Last weekend I went to my brother's fiance bridesmaid dress fitting and instead of paying attention to the dresses in front of me I wanted the aztec cardigan her sister was wearing. They just look so comfy to me and I feel like you can throw it on and it can bring any outfit together. The Wedge Sneaker, I'm pretty sure you've all seen them everywhere or even own a pair. The trend was inspired by Isabel Marant's high top wedge sneakers. These $700 plus sneaker made every retailer want in on the money making trend. The can be found any where from Target to Steve Madden. Even Nike was inspired by the trend and made their Liberty sneakers wedges. This popular trend looks like it will keep growing because every season the sneakers come out in new colors. If a $700 sneaker is not in your budget you can find these ranging from $30 to $250.

Trend Watch: Matchstick Pants

Its about that time to start putting away those denim cut-offs we loved to wear all summer long and trade up for some sleek sophisticated, but still fun matchstick pants. They're a great to dress up a plain sweater or just to add some character to your outfit. I love the ones with fun whimsical prints the like the Tibi ones with the bird print.
