I can't believe its been a year since I've graduated college. I remember how excited I was and ready to enter the so called "real world". To be honest with you I thought I would have accomplished a lot more by now, but that's one of the major lessons I've learned about the "real world" not everything goes according to plan. But anyways, I know I'll get everything I want eventually no complaining here, just a tad bit impatient maybe more than a tad bit impatient. I never thought a quarter-life-crisis was possible but let me tell you it is real. Its that awkward stage in your 20's where you can't help but wonder: What I am I going to do with my life? Is this it? When do I get my big break? Why can't I have my dream job and corner office already? Will I ever get married? I thought I'd be settled by now.Well, lets be positive at least I got school out of the way now I just gotta work on making my dreams happen faster and right.
Any of you feeling like this or am I the crazy one?
Any of you feeling like this or am I the crazy one?
I think everyone I know goes through this when they graduate. 20's are supposed to suck, it's 30's where everything feels settled and content. At least that is what I have been told.... Great gift guide! I'd take anything, especially a new Mac Book Pro!
ReplyDeleteYes, I hear the 30's are the best !
DeleteIt's so true. The real world does have unexpected loops and turns making the journey more exciting and success much sweeter. :)
ReplyDeleteYes its both difficult but great at the same time.
DeleteI got a watch when I graduated college. I think it's a great (and special!) present!
ReplyDeleteIt is, because you feel special wearing it on job interviews and stuff.
DeleteDon't worry- you are not crazy! I'm four years into the "real world" and I am JUST getting settled. It's hard not to be impatient when you know you have so much to give... I finally got my office and making the money I hoped I would be making but it took some time and readjustments to get here! Still working on it though.

DeleteI'm gonna work on the patience part.
Its been 4 years since I graduated from college and my first year in the real world, I was frantically trying to fit into the job culture(s)...its amazing how different life is before worklife. You're only out for a year...you will accomplish big things, that's for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice : ) Yeah I guess we're all run out of patience once out in the real world.
DeleteGreat ideas!
