At Elizabeth & James it was all about the elongated structure and soft fabrics. You can definitely see Mary Kate and Ashley wearing these menswear inspired blazers in paparazzi pictures on the weekly glossies. The pieces are classic staples with focus on the fabrics and color. The colors are strong jewel tones mixed with your basic black and white. I am in love with the blazers, I feel like they would look great on everyone.
It was all about the modern hippie at Rebecca Taylor. As always she showcased her beautiful feminine prints. The denim-bleached fabric was seen every from top, skirts, dresses to jackets. This collection really made me want to fast-forward to Spring 2013 already.
Structure was key at Jenni Kayne as well. Shirts and shirts dresses were beautifully tailored complimenting the feminine colors of the collection. The ethnic prints could easily transition to fall. The pops of hot pink and yellow will for sure attract attention.
YES, hot pink. I want hot pink EVERYTHING.

Yeah I don't like the sandals either, but cropping them would have looked awkward, don't you hate when designers try to get all fancy and your like "what is that?"
DeleteOh, I love the purple!
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between the feminine lines of Rebecca Taylor and the structure of Jenni Kayne.
ReplyDeleteman such an awesome collection
