NYFW: Bollywood At Its Finest

Oct 17, 2012

Marchesa can do no wrong when it comes to making impeccably beautiful gowns. This season it was more about the saris than the gowns and they looked gorgeous. The fabrics and colors looked so rich and vibrant. The draping, tulle, fringe and embellishments were all used just right to not make the garments look like costumes but instead like pieces of art.

At Altuzarra it was a mixture of equestrian and middle eastern influences. The gladiator knee-high sandals looked amazing with the well tailored coats. We see fringe again on the skirt to give the garments movements. But my favorite pieces are the ones with the draped scarves filled with embellishments and tassles.

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog! That's awesome that you went to FIT and are in product development in accessories. That's the next venture I would like to pursue-accessories. It sounds a lot more glamorous than men's tops and outerwear! Great post. Those pictures are amazing!

  5. I LOVE this post. First of all, since I'm a guy and I don't look too closely at the women's collections so it looks so new to me, but also because you curated it well. the 2nd dress from the right on the first pic looks so gorgeous. You have a really cool blog! Would you like to follow each other? Just let me know (:
