A Little Inspiration . . .

Mar 25, 2013

While in school I always thought I knew exactly what type of career I wanted but now being in the quote on quote real world you realize things change. I wanted that top job that everyone would be like wow that's your job, you know the predictable one. I believe this saying so much now after getting a job I never thought I would want or like and now absolutely loving it. I got my current job while in college through a friends recommendation. I hated the job at first because it was your typical bottom of the ladder job, but I loved the people I worked with. So, I figured if only I could also love what I did. I took notes, asked a lot of questions and eventually became interested in sales. When I graduated I knew I wanted to do something creative in the product development field. Never would I have thought I'd be doing sales, someone who hates to socialize if she doesn't have too. But I love it so far, I get to work with awesome people and create jewelry and accessories for their specific customers. I knew my job had potential so I stopped being negative, worked my way up and created my perfect job : )

  1. I love this–I think we rarely find ourselves doing EXACTLY what we envisioned when we were growing up or in college, but sometimes that's the fun of it. Different aspects of my job have made me realize passions I never even knew I had!

  2. I think when you work in a nice environment and are surrounded by nice people it's much easier to find practically any job interesting. As for me - I also sort of created my job out of nothing - I knew I was good at what I am doing now, so I got an additional degree and srated it all from scratch. :)

  3. Is only few people who does what they love and enjoy work. But no one needs to be stuck in the job what she/he hates, we have a choice. It's up to us. But as you said, it's always much better to look for nice things around than just hate everything.

  9. I love this post Cindi. I have a great feeling after following your posts for quite a while that you'll achieve great things beyond your wildest dreams. It takes a lot of courage to pursue and be better at something we initially don't like. Going beyond one's comfort zone while learning everything one can with enthusiasm--I realized life has a way of preparing each of us or rather training us for the next big thing.
