So, I'm officially an "adult" now whatever that means. I'm so happy to be done with homework, finals, projects all that stressful stuff. Now, I get to relax travel and BLOG ! Well, and work too.

The Fashion Prom
Better late than never. I know the Met Gala 2012 was like two weeks ago, but with finals this week and last week I couldn't really see any of the looks. Here are my top eight best dressed, and I'm loving Gisele's black number it fits her perfectly. I don't know about you guys but for me the Met Gala and the Oscar's are like my fashion prom. After those events I can't help but get all excited to watch the Fashion Police and see what the infamous Joan Rivers has to say.
From left to right: Gisele Bundchen in Givenchy Haute Couture, Camille Belle in Ralph Lauren, Carey Mulligan in Prada, Nina Dobrev in Donna Karan Atelier, Jessica Pare in L'Wren Scott, Jessica Alba in Michael Kors, Lana Del Rey in Joseph Altuzarra, Lily Collins in Valentino

Paris is always a good idea - Audrey Hepburn
I so wish I could be at home laying down with this cold I have, but instead I'm here at work. But I must not complain because in less then three weeks I will be in the beautiful city of lights PARIS ! Yes, you heard right Paris, I can't wait because the third time there will be a charm just like the first and second time. I'm currently, drowning myself in green tea at work to attempt to feel better for my last and final presentation tomorrow. I graduate next Tuesday from FIT and I'm so excited to be out in the "real" world, but also scared. No more homework and projects ! Now, that I will be done with school I will finally be able to devote more time to this blog, which I've wanted to do for so long now.

Eternal Optimism
A beautiful editorial from Vogue by Craig McDean which shows how Spring is all about positive dressing. You know how as soon as it gets warm outside and you don't have to wear your big heavy coat anymore and squeeze in between people on the subway, all of a sudden you feel a since of positivity. Its like a weight is lifted off you literally and you can start wearing those cute and colorful items you've been buying all season long.

Adele & Lana del rey
Both of these ladies are constantly on repeat on my ipod and on spotify. Of course I had to buy both of these glossies because they look so gorgeous. I love that both their voices are so old school and sultry. And I'm so happy not to hear the same catchy overally auto toned pop songs over and over again. It's nice to listen to singers who were inspired by great artist like Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James.
Damask Skinny Jeans
Just got these babies on Friday at Forever 21 for $29.80.
They've been sold out for a month and I finally found them. Thank god for the buyer who
decided to reorder on these babies. Now, I just gotta find a perfect pair leopard skinnies.

Things That Made My Week
Just a couple of snapshots from this week that brought me some joy: Kobe my cute
puppy, my new Marni for H&M jacket, my messy desk where I spend most of my
time at work, and my new rose gold studded rings.

So in love . . . . .
I don't know what I'm more in love with, their outfits or the fact that they look so happy. Olivia always looks so effortless and her boyfriend Johannes looks like a modern Don Draper. I can't wait to see the official photo shoot photos to know who made her perfect little black dress that keeps reminding of the new Mad Men season coming up.

Determination
Right now this is so relevant to my life. You know when you're at that stage when you feel like you're an adult, but then sometimes you feel you're still a kid. I feel like I'm at that stage where my life long dreams now have to become plans because time is ticking.

EL LAY
These are a few pictures I took while in a L.A a couple of weeks ago. The second picture is Mel's Diner
and let me tell you they have the best breakfast. Plus, while there I felt like I was in a scene out of Grease.
The Hotel Roosevelt was beyond beautiful, it reminded of the tower of terror in Disney. It's like old school
glamour/creepy meets Marrakech. I have to find better pictures of it and make a post. And then of course
I had to take pictures of my favorite stars actual stars. It was only right to find Audrey.

Things That Made My Week
I love January, why you ask? The sales of course. Right after the holidays all the stores
have sales to make space for their new spring merchandise. And I'm talking about 50%
to 70% off. I just purchased three very similar colored skinnies to the ones above
at Zara for only $19.99 and they were all originally $59.99. I'm loving the color of the
middle one for spring.
Things That Made My Week (Last week)
These are more affordable options to the Deborah Lippmann ones I featured before.
(Essie, Wet n Wild, Milani)
A couple of friendship bracelets we just got at work I snatched to prepare for spring.
New development from work I just love for spring. If you can tell from this post I'm loving neon.
I found these two beaded necklaces and got inspired by A Pair & a Spare's DIY
neon necklace post, and I spray painted them. A little hint whenever spray painting
something do it in white first and then spray your preferred color because I didn't do this
and in some sections you see chunks of paint.

This post is really late because my birthday was over a week ago, but I had to post this
sunflower cake they had for me at work. It was so cute I didn't even want to eat it. But
if you really know me you know I loooove to eat, so this is the only evidence and it
was delicious chocolate mousse.

Sneakers are Having a Fashion Moment
Just got my Aldo NETZ sneakers in the mail (the ones on the right) and I love love love them.
You guys don't even know how happy I am that sneakers are making a comeback. I've always been
somewhat of a tomboy and the fact that I could wear sneakers and still be so called "fashionable" is
great because I can wear heels and be comfortable. Yes, these babies have hidden heels them, well
wedges but you get the whole altitude from the floor point. So, originally I wanted the Isabel Marant
(the ones on the left) but $760 for sneaker is way to steep for a college student, actually I think its
way too steep for many people in this economy. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed they go on like
a 80% off sale somewhere, or someone knocks them off in a more similar version.
p.s.
I got my NETZ for $60 bucks on the x-mas sale whoop whoop : )

She's Carrying Us Away
This girl has me wanting to get a pixie cut for the longest time now, but I don't have the courage. I mean
not everyone looks this gorgeous in that haircut. Ever since I saw her in "An Education" I've been in love
with her acting and her retro 1960's effortless classic style. Can't wait to see her play Daisy Buchanan in
"The Great Gatsby" out next December hopefully. Anyways, enjoy Carey Mulligan's spread in January's
2012 issue of W Magazine.
