1. My little brother graduated High School, now I really feel old. To think he's now free to do whatever he
wants, if you knew his this would be a scary thought for you too. But anyways I'm proud of him.
2. My new Diane von Furstenberg dress I got at the annual sample sale. Its in one of my favorite color
schemes: lime green and gray. And it is so comfortable.
3. My new leopard Steve Madden loafers that mentioned in the Expensive vs. Cheap post.
4. And of course the one thing that always makes me smile Kobe : )

Diane von Furstenberg Sample sale until tomorrow. I know I'm posting this a little late, but
I just ran across online a couple minutes ago. And please believe I will be going during my
break from work to hopefully pick a cute blouse or dress. Every year I know about this sale
and I always miss it, but today that's not the case. I can't wait for my break to find something
cute for the summer.

Yesterday was amazing because of course I went to Kelly Cutrone's new book signing in the Barnes and Nobel in Tribeca. There was no dull moment as expected. She started the whole thing with of course a big F* bomb, and I loved it. I love that she doesn't hold back at all, she tells it like it is. That must have been the best hour and a half speech I've ever heard. You see how you see celebrities on television and then you meet them and their nothing like they seem on television. Well Kelly is exactly how she is portrayed on television if not even more real. She makes you feel comfortable, not inferior its like you can completely relate to everything she says. If you enjoy cut throat advice and can handle the truth whether it be sweet or not then you should read both books. I'm already half way through the second one and can not put it down. One major reason why I admire her so much is because you can be having the worst day or just have low self-confidence at the moment and you open one of her books and every quote you read makes you feel better. Its like her books are a pick me up and they give you courage to stand up to people and not just blend in.
I just hope there will be a third, fourth, fifth etc. more books to come because nothing is repetitive, it's just enlightening. And when I met her yesterday it truly made me happy that there is finally a real role model young women and men can look up too.

So, as you can see I'm a huge Adele fan, her new album "21" is currently on repeat on my itouch. I can't wait to get my May 2011 issue of Elle Magazine in the mail. And does she just look gorgeous on Rollingstone Magazine, I'm so getting that one tomorrow morning. Let me keep this nice and short because I'm watching Glee and they are about to sing Adele's "Turning Tables" and I hope they do it justice : )

These are just a couple of items that I have really wanted to buy for some time now, and their original prices are just ridiculous for my current lifestyle. There is just no way a college student can afford a $1,600 bag unless its like a gift or something. But anyways I walked into Steve Madden the other day when walking out of the gym and saw those leopard loafers and instantly thought Kanye West wearing Christian Louboutin. First they are well in my budget and second they are too cute and are actually more wearable then the originals because the studded style will eventually fade, but classic leopard flats have longevity.
I am infatuated with anything Lace and Jersey Knit, you know like gray sweatpants material. A pencil skirt is a good thing to have for job interviews, special occasions, etc. The original 3.1 Phillip Lim skirt I wanted to get when it was on sale, but of course it was sold out. The BB Dakota skirt is almost identical except for some minor details, but hello its like over 80% the original's price so I might just get that baby come pay day on Friday.
And finally the most talked about bag this week the Proenza Schouler PS1. This bag has had so much popularity lately that even Target knocked it off after just collaborating with Proenza Schouler for the second time. I'm not even going to get into if it was ethical of Target to copy Proenza Schouler's bag right after releasing its second collection, but hey its nice bag that comes in multiple colors. They do say imitation is truly the sincerest form of flattery.

I felt it was necessary to showcase some of Rihanna's Spring cover shoots because well she just looks hot in them as usual. Plus Annie Leibovitz shot her vogue spread and I love her photography ever since her Alice in Wonderland spread.
